Had a lovely meal of haggis neeps and tatties and venison sausage and mash. We didn’t have a booking but they managed to squeeze us in. We were staying in accommodation nearby and when we enquired about where to buy milk were told the shop is likely shut. We were kindly sent home with a glass of milk for our tea and breakfast. Very warm and friendly team, would highly recommend.

Love this place! Richard, Becca and Tim are amazing hosts! We visited a year and a half ago, and we were remembered by Richard when we stayed nearby again recently! We were lucky enough to be hosted/ sheltered here during Storm Amy which was something neither me or my wife will forget. No power or phone signal, yet the guys bent over backwards (in Tim's case, quite literally) to keep us warm, fed and watered, and as a result we had an amazing and memorable few days here! Looking forward to next year's visit already! Honestly, couldn't recommend enough! An absolute must visit! ps. The homecooked food is to die for and the local beers are fantastic!

What a wonderful place set in a beautiful landscape. We were fortunate to stay only one night at the Strathcarron Hotel but our memories of our stay will last a lifetime. Richard, Becca, Tim and all the friendly staff at Strathcarron welcomed us wandering Australian's like we were family. We arrived by train wanting unique experiences during our lap around the UK. I can't recommend Strathcarron Hotel enough. We intend to visit again and sample the excellent beers and gorgeous scotch whiskeys. Dinner and breakfast was perfect. Places like this is the exact reason that makes me want to travel.

We were close to the hotel when we got a flat tire. We went into their Bothy Bar to ask if we could use their phone to call a garage (we had no cell service). They made the call for us and were so kind. After the tour was fixed, we came back for lunch. It was delicious. The atmosphere was wonderful and every one there was so nice. Thank you to Richard for turning a bad day into a great one!

What a quirky little place, staying here felt like stepping back in time, but in the best possible way. Tucked away in the middle of nowhere, the location is absolutely stunning and made for a wonderfully peaceful stop on our trip. Check-in was a bit unorganised, but everything worked out smoothly in the end. The rooms were simple but clean, and we had a beautiful view which made it all the better. The real highlight here is the service. The owners were brilliant, so welcoming and genuine, and Jimmy… what a legend! He truly made the stay unforgettable with his charm and great sense of humour. The food was also spot on, tasty, hearty, and just what we needed after a day of exploring. All in all, a 5-star experience in our book. Would definitely stay again!

Had the best stay at this lovely hotel last year. The kindest couple owns and operates the hotel. We ate breakfast and dinner (and played scrabble!) in the hotel restaurant downstairs, and even got a little piano show! This hotel was the perfect home base for our day trip to Skye. Rooms were very comfortable and the shower was great. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend you book a table and enjoy the amazing hospitality. The haggis was delicious and the kids loved the burger. Thanks Richard and team. We definitely be back again
